    The Central High Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving and exhibiting the contributions of African-Americans in Charlotte County, Virginia.  The museum aims to promote a greater understanding of the African-American experience in Charlotte County and the neighboring communities.

The museum is unique in that it draws a direct line between formal education and studentsÂ’ later contributions to their communities.  Items  in the museum reflect the daily activities of Central High students and recognize the accomplishments of Central High alumni, which include physicians, lawyers, teachers and civic leaders.  The museum highlights the role education played in the lives of Central High students as well as the invaluable contributions of African-Americans who worked diligently for quality schooling.
